Autotroph

Autotrophs are like little superheroes that can make their own food! Just like how we need to eat food to grow big and strong, these little guys can create their own food all by themselves.

You know how plants use sunlight to grow? Well, autotrophs can do that too! They use light from the sun to create their own energy! Some autotrophs can also use chemicals to make their food instead of sunlight.

Autotrophs are really important because they are at the bottom of the food chain. This means that other animals eat them and then those animals get eaten by other animals. So, if there were no autotrophs, then no one else could eat and the whole ecosystem would be messed up.
