Auxiliary field Monte Carlo

Auxiliary Field Monte Carlo (AFMC) is a method used by scientists to study the behaviours of particles and molecules. It uses random numbers to generate an 'auxiliary field'. This field consists of tiny invisible particles that can be used to help scientists understand what is happening in the particles and molecules they are studying. By randomly changing the field and then seeing what happens, scientists can make accurate predictions about what will happen in the future.
