ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Auxiliary police

Auxiliary police are volunteers who help regular police officers with their work. They are kind of like helpers who assist the real police officers in making sure people are safe and following the law.

These volunteers are normal people who have regular jobs or go to school, but they want to help keep their community safe. They go through special training to learn about the laws and how to help in emergencies.

Auxiliary police might help direct traffic during events, patrol neighborhoods to make sure everything is okay, or work at public events to ensure everyone is behaving and having fun safely. They also might help with search and rescue missions or natural disasters like floods or fires.

Overall, auxiliary police are superheroes in their spare time, working to make sure everyone around them is staying safe and happy.
