Azerbaijan (Iran)

Azerbaijan is a country that is next to Iran, which means they share a border. People who live in Azerbaijan may speak a different language, have different traditions, and follow a different religion than those who live in Iran. Azerbaijan used to be part of the Soviet Union, but now it is its own country. While they may be neighbors, Azerbaijan and Iran do not always get along because they have different beliefs and political ideas.
