ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Azotosome

Okay kiddo, so you know how everything is made of tiny building blocks called atoms? Well, scientists have discovered some special atoms called nitrogen and hydrogen that really like to stick together. When a bunch of these nitrogen and hydrogen atoms stick together, they form something called a molecule.

Now, a bunch of these nitrogen and hydrogen molecules can stick together in a special shape to make something called an azotosome. Think of it like building a really cool Lego spaceship, but with atoms instead of toy blocks.

What makes azotosomes so exciting is that scientists believe they could potentially help create life on other planets. Traveling in space is really tough, and things can get really cold or really hot. Azotosomes are really good at protecting the molecules inside of them from harsh conditions, so they could be used to keep living things alive on long space journeys.

So to sum it up, azotosomes are a special group of molecules made from atoms called nitrogen and hydrogen. They are really good at protecting things from tough conditions, and they could be used to help create life on other planets. Cool, huh?
