Nucleic acid analogues

Nucleic acid analogues are special types of molecules that act a lot like the molecules that make up genetic material like DNA and RNA. They look kind of like DNA and RNA, but they are different in important ways. These molecules are used in medicine, to make it easier for doctors and scientists to study how cells and genetics work. They can also be used to help create new treatments for illnesses.
