ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

BLIT (short story)

Blit is a way to move a picture from one place to another really quickly. It's kind of like when you move a toy car from the floor to the couch and you use your hand to make it go really fast.

In the computer world, sometimes we need to move pictures really fast too. For example, when you're playing a video game and you move your character across the screen, that's because Blit is happening. The computer is quickly moving the character's image from one part of the screen to another so it looks like they're walking or running.

Blit is also used when you open a new window or program on your computer. You might see the screen quickly blink or flash, that's because Blit is happening. The computer is moving images around so everything looks like it's in the right place.

Overall, Blit is just a really fast way to move pictures on a computer and it helps make things look smooth and seamless.
