ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Babylonian calendar

The Babylonian calendar was the system of measuring time used by the Babylonians, an ancient civilization that lived in what is now Iraq about 5,000 years ago. The calendar was divided into 12 months, and each month had 30 days. The Babylonians also had an extra five days that were added at the end of the year, for a total of 365 days. Each month was divided into weeks of seven days, so the Babylonians had 52 weeks in a year.
