Backlot

A backlot is like a pretend town that movie makers use to film their movies. It's like a really big playground where they can build fake buildings and streets to make it look like a real place but it's not. They can make it look like a big city or a small town or even a jungle! It's like playing a big game of make-believe but for making movies. They can make the backlot look like any kind of place they want to tell their story. It's like a big empty space that they fill up with all kinds of things to make it look like a real place. When they're done filming, they take everything down and the backlot is empty again, like it was never there.
