Bagh Print

Okay kiddo, so bagh print is a way of putting patterns on fabric. It's a type of printing that comes from India and it's very special because it's done completely by hand.

First, the fabric is washed and soaked in a mixture of water and mustard oil. This helps to make the fabric more absorbent so the colors can stick better.

Next, a design is drawn onto a piece of wood using special tools. This design is called a block. The block is dipped into dye and then stamped onto the fabric. This process is repeated over and over again until the entire fabric is covered in the pattern.

The patterns used in bagh print are usually very intricate and detailed. They often feature flowers, leaves, and other nature-inspired designs.

Once all of the dye has been applied, the fabric is left to dry in the sun. This helps to set the colors so they won't fade or wash out.

Bagh print is still done today in some parts of India, and it's considered a very important tradition. It takes a lot of time and skill to create these beautiful patterns by hand, and every piece of fabric is unique.
