Baglama

Baglama is a type of stringed instrument that comes from Turkey. It's also called Saz by some people. Imagine a small guitar with a long neck and three or four strings. There are also smaller versions called 'cura' and larger instruments called 'divan saz'.

To play the baglama, you hold it in your lap or rest it on your leg and use your fingers or a pick to pluck the strings. This creates a sound that can be high or low, depending on which string you pluck. Some people use it to play melodies, while others use it to accompany singers or play rhythmic patterns.

Playing the baglama takes practice, and there are different techniques you can use to create different sounds. It's an important part of Turkish folk music and has been used for centuries to tell stories, express emotions, and bring people together.
