Bahrain Pearling Trail

Ok kiddo, do you know what pearls are? They are shiny little balls that come from inside special oysters that live in the sea. Well, in Bahrain a long long time ago, many people used to go diving into the sea to find these special oysters and get pearls from them.

These divers were very brave because they had to hold their breath and go very deep down into the water to get the oysters. They would bring them up to the surface and then crack them open to get the pearls.

But finding pearls wasn't the only important thing - what the people did with them after was also really special. They would take the pearls and thread them onto strings to make beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and other types of jewelry. And they would sell these pieces of jewelry all over the world!

Now, the Bahrain Pearling Trail is a special trail that tells the story of how people used to find pearls and make jewelry in Bahrain long ago. It takes you on a journey through the old buildings and the seafront where this all used to happen, explaining all the different steps involved in the pearling industry.
