Baltic Tiger

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about the Baltic Tiger. Remember when we went to the zoo and you saw the tigers there? Well, the Baltic Tiger is not a real animal, but it's a term used by grown-ups to talk about a special time when the countries near the Baltic Sea did very well.

Do you remember when we talked about countries and how they have their own money? Well, some countries near the Baltic Sea, like Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, used to have a hard time making money. But then, something changed, and they started doing really well. It's like when you learn something new and you start doing really well in class, do you remember that?

This change made people call them the "Baltic Tiger" because it was like a really strong and powerful animal. People were excited because these countries started making lots of money and growing really fast. They used their money to build new things like roads, schools, and hospitals. And people got jobs because they were needed to build all those things.

But sometimes when things go really well, it's hard to keep it up forever. And that's what happened with the Baltic Tiger. The strong animal started getting weaker and weaker. So, the grown-ups are still trying to figure out how to make things better again.
