Banana paper
Okay kiddo, have you ever eaten a banana before? Well, after we eat the banana, the peel usually ends up in the garbage, right? But did you know that we can make something really cool out of those banana peels? It’s called banana paper!
First, we have to collect a bunch of banana peels. We take off the part of the peel that we don’t need and slice the rest into teeny tiny pieces. We put those little pieces into a big pot with some water and boil it.
After a while, we take the pot off the heat and let it cool down. Then we put the mixture into a big blender and turn it into a smooth pulp.
Now, we can start making the paper! We use a special machine called a paper press to press out all the water from the pulp. This makes it into a thin sheet of paper.
Finally, we lay all the sheets out to dry. Once they're dry, we can use them to write on or even make cool crafts.
So, you see, even though something might seem like garbage, like banana peels, we can always find a way to turn it into something useful and cool like banana paper!
