Banco Espírito Santo Angola
Okay little one, there's a bank called Banco Espírito Santo Angola (BESA). It's like a big piggy bank that people put their money into so they can keep it safe and use it later.
But one day, the people who were in charge of BESA started doing some really bad things with the money in the piggy bank. They weren't using it to help people or keep it safe anymore – they were taking it for themselves and doing things that they weren't supposed to.
Eventually, things got so bad that the government had to step in and take control of BESA. They tried to fix the problems and make sure that the little boys and girls who kept their money there were safe, but it was really hard.
So BESA had to close down and lots of people lost their money. It was really sad and not fair, but sometimes when people do bad things, they have to face the consequences.
