ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bandwidth guaranteed polling

Okay kiddo, have you ever stood in line for something like getting ice cream or waiting for your turn on a slide? Everyone takes turns, right? So, a similar thing happens when devices like computers or phones want to use the internet.

But when lots of devices are trying to use the internet all at once, it can get a bit messy. It's like everyone is trying to use the slide at the same time and it becomes chaotic. So, to make things fair for everyone, we use something called bandwidth guaranteed polling.

Basically, this means that each device gets assigned a certain amount of time to use the internet. It's like telling each person in line at the ice cream truck when they can get their ice cream cone. This way, everyone gets a fair turn to use the internet without one person hogging it all up.

So, that's what bandwidth guaranteed polling is all about - making sure everyone gets equally as much time on the internet without anyone taking over and making it slow for everyone else.
