Barbed wire

Barbed wire is a special kind of wire that has sharp little points sticking out of it called barbs. It's often used to make fences to keep things like animals, people, or cars from getting in or out of a certain area.

Imagine playing with a toy spiky ball. Now imagine the wire has hundreds of tiny, pointy spikes sticking out of it just like that.
