Basileus

Basileus is a title for a king or ruler of a kingdom. It comes from Ancient Greece and was used by many rulers and leaders. A basileus had a lot of power and was usually very wealthy. He was usually the commander of the army and also presided over court proceedings. The title is still used in some countries today, although most modern-day kings have different titles now.
