Batch distillation is a process used to separate different liquids from each other. It works by heating the mixture of liquids and collecting the liquid that boils off first. Since different liquids boil at different temperatures, the liquid that boils off is only made of the liquid that boils at the lowest temperature. The other liquids are left behind and don't turn into steam. This process is repeated until all of the different liquids have been separated from each other.
