Battle honour

Hey there! So, you know how sometimes people or groups accomplish really impressive things, like winning important battles or doing really brave things?

Well, when soldiers or military units do something like that, they can earn something called a "battle honour." This basically means that they get recognized for their hard work and bravery.

It's kind of like if you did really well on a test at school or won a medal at a sports competition. The battle honour is like a special badge that soldiers or military units can wear to show that they did something amazing.

For example, let's say a group of soldiers from a certain army fought in a really difficult battle during a war. If they end up winning that battle, their army might give them a battle honour. This would show that those soldiers did an amazing job and were really brave.

So battle honours are basically a way for soldiers and military units to get recognized for doing great things. It's something that they can be really proud of!
