The Belt of Venus is a pinkish-reddish colored band that shows up in the sky at sunset. It's the opposite of the sun's orange-colored band, called the "anti-twilight arch." The Belt of Venus is sometimes called the evening Belt or reverse twilight arch. It's made from pinkish and reddish shades of light scattered from the atmosphere. The scattering of pink light is caused by the sun's light being filtered down through the Earth's atmosphere. It is seen in the sky after the sun has set, and before the stars come out. The Belt of Venus is a pretty sight and can be enjoyed anytime the sky is clear after the sun has set.
