ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bible translations into Aramaic

The Bible is a big important book that tells stories about God and how he likes us to live. A long long time ago, the Bible was originally written in a language called Hebrew. But then some people who spoke a different language called Aramaic wanted to read the Bible too. So, some really smart people called translators worked hard to change the words from Hebrew into Aramaic so everyone could understand and learn about God. It's like if you speak one language at home but your friend speaks a different language, somebody can help you understand what your friend is saying by translating it into your language. The translators did this by studying both languages and finding the best words to use in Aramaic to tell the same story that was in Hebrew. There are different versions of the Aramaic Bible because different translators might use slightly different words to tell the same story, kind of like how some people might explain something one way and another person might explain it a little differently. But no matter which version you read, the important thing is that you can learn about God and how to live your life in a way that pleases him.
