Bicycle stand

Alright kiddo, have you ever parked your bike outside and worried that it might fall over? Well, a bicycle stand is a tool that helps you keep your bike steady and upright when you park it.

It's like a little table that you put your bike on. You put one of the wheels of your bike into a special holder and then the bike can stand up all by itself. It's a lot like how your teacher might use a book stand to hold her book up so she can read it without using her hands.

There are different types of bicycle stands. Some look like a triangle with a point on top and you put your bike's back wheel in it. Others look like a clamp that holds onto your bike's frame.

Having a bicycle stand is helpful because it keeps your bike's chain and tires off the ground, so they don't get dirty or damaged. It also keeps your bike from leaning and falling over, which can save you from a lot of headaches (and scraped knees).

So next time you see a bicycle stand, remember that it's like a little table for bikes, that helps them stand up all by themselves!
