Biochemical engineering

Biochemical engineering is a field of engineering that deals with studying how to use living organisms and chemicals to make products. For example, a biochemical engineer might work on a way to modify bacteria to produce a nutrient-rich food product, or to use plants to create a drug that helps with a medical condition. Biochemical engineers use their knowledge of chemistry, biology, and engineering to develop new products.
