Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, also known as BHRT, is a type of medicine that helps people who don't make enough hormones like estrogen or testosterone in their bodies.

Imagine that your body is like a machine and hormones are like the oil that help it work properly. Without enough oil, the machine can start to make strange noises or not work as well as it should. That's why some people need BHRT to help make their bodies work better again!

The hormones used in BHRT are made from natural sources like plants, instead of being made in a lab. They are called "bioidentical" because they are chemically identical to the hormones that your body makes. This means that your body can use them easily, just like it would use the hormones it makes on its own.

When you get BHRT, a doctor will give you the right amount of hormones in a pill, patch, cream or gel. The doctor will check your hormone levels first, to make sure you get the right dose.

BHRT can help people who have problems like hot flashes, mood swings, trouble sleeping, and more. It can also help people who have health problems like osteoporosis (weak bones) or low libido (not feeling like being intimate).

It's important to remember that BHRT is not for everyone. You should always talk to your doctor to see if it's right for you and if there are any risks or side effects. But for some people, BHRT is a helpful way to feel better and get back to doing the things they love!
