Biopesticide

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes farmers have to use chemicals to keep bugs and other pests from eating their crops? Well, a biopesticide is a special kind of pesticide that uses natural things to help control the pests instead of chemicals.

Instead of using man-made chemicals, biopesticides use things like special bacteria, fungi or natural oils from plants to help stop those pests from munching on the crops. These biopesticides work by messing with the bugs' eating and mating habits. Basically, it's like giving the bugs a bad stomachache or making them not want to mate anymore.

Biopesticides are a safer and more environmentally friendly way to control pests because they don't have the same harmful effects as chemical pesticides. And because they're made from natural stuff, they can break down quickly in the environment and won't leave behind harmful residues. So, it's better for the plants, the bugs and the planet.
