Blackboard

A blackboard is a big, flat, dark-colored board that you can write with chalk on. It's usually used by teachers to write notes or draw pictures to help students learn. It's a bit like a big notebook that everyone in the classroom can see. When you write on it with a special piece of chalk, the board makes a dusty sound and leaves a white mark. You can erase the board by rubbing it with a special sponge or cloth. Blackboards might seem old-fashioned, but they're still used in many classrooms around the world because they're very helpful for learning.
