Blowout (well drilling)

When we want to get oil or gas from underground, we have to drill a hole in the ground called a well. Sometimes when we drill very deep, a lot of pressure builds up inside the well. This pressure can make the oil or gas come out really fast, and it can be dangerous for the people working on the well. When this happens, we call it a blowout. Think of it like a balloon getting too full and popping. To prevent a blowout, we use special equipment and techniques to control the pressure and make sure everyone stays safe while getting the oil or gas we need.
