Blue–green distinction in language

Have you ever heard people talking about the colors blue and green? They may sound very similar, but they are actually different colors. In some languages, there is only one word that describes both blue and green, so people might use that word to describe both colors.

This can be confusing for some people because they may not know which color is being talked about. However, in other languages, there are separate words for blue and green, so people can easily tell the difference between the two colors.

So it's like having one word for two things that are different, versus having separate words for each thing. It's easier to understand when you have separate words for each thing.
