Body farm

A body farm is a place where scientists and researchers study what happens to a human body after it dies. They do this by studying the bodies of people who have donated their bodies to science for this purpose. Think of it like a big outdoor laboratory where scientists can watch and study different stages of decomposition (when bodies break down) in a variety of outdoor settings.

This helps them learn things like how long it takes for different parts of the body to break down, what types of insects and animals come to the body, and how different factors like weather, soil, and vegetation can affect the decomposition process.

It may seem a bit strange, but studying this information can help solve crimes, identify remains, and even help forensic pathologists (doctors who study dead bodies) learn more about how to help people who are alive.
