Boltzmann constant

Okay, so there is this really important guy in science named Boltzmann. He was really smart and helped scientists understand how heat works and how atoms move around.

One thing he figured out was that everything in the world is made up of tiny things called atoms, and these atoms move around very fast all the time.

Boltzmann also found out that how much these atoms move around affects how much heat there is. So scientists wanted to figure out how much heat there would be if they knew how much the atoms were moving.

That’s where Boltzmann’s constant comes in. It’s a special number that helps scientists figure out how much heat there is based on how much atoms are moving around.

It’s like if you were trying to figure out how much candy you could get if you knew how much money you had. You would need a special number, like the price of one candy, to help you figure it all out.

So Boltzmann’s constant is like the price of one candy, but for heat and atoms. Scientists use this number to help them figure out a lot of important things in science, like how things melt, how things conduct electricity, and lots of other things.
