Bonding in solids

Solids are made up of individual atoms that are stuck together. This process of atoms being stuck together is called bonding. The bond between each atom is strong and it is what makes solids hard and makes them hold their shape. It can be harder to break apart than liquids or gases. The bond between each atom is usually either chemical or physical. Chemical bonds tend to be stronger and more durable.
