ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Boots theory

Boots Theory is a way of looking at people's behavior. It says that people can act differently in different situations, depending on what kind of shoes they are wearing. For example, someone might be very outgoing when they are wearing fancy shoes, but feel shy when they are wearing sneakers or flip-flops. It's like those shoes give the person a different "personality" or way of acting.
