Boyar

A boyar was a person in ancient Russia who was very important and had a lot of power. They were like kings or very important lords. They would help the ruler of Russia make important decisions and give advice. The boyars were also very wealthy and lived in big fancy palaces, and they had lots of servants to do things for them like cooking and cleaning. Think of them like the boss of a big company, but for the country of Russia a long time ago!
