Braid

A braid is when you take three or more pieces of string, yarn, or hair and cross them over each other in a pattern. Imagine you have three long pieces of yarn, and you want to braid them. You start by holding them all together at the top like a ponytail. Then you take the piece on the right side and cross it over the middle piece so it becomes the new middle piece. Then you take the left piece and cross it over the new middle piece so it becomes the new middle piece again. You keep doing this pattern, crossing the right piece over the middle, then the left piece over the new middle, until you get to the end. Then you tie it off with a rubber band or a hair tie. And that's how you make a braid!
