Brass

Brass is like a special kind of metal that people use for lots of different things. It's made up of two types of metal called copper and zinc, which are melted together and then cooled until they get hard.

Sometimes brass is shiny and yellow, but other times it's more brown or even greenish. This is because the color of the brass can change depending on how much copper or zinc is in it.

People use brass for all kinds of things, like making musical instruments like trumpets and horns, because it can make a nice sound. They also use it for decorations, like doorknobs and statues.
