Have you ever heard of a bridge to nowhere? It's just what it sounds like, a bridge that doesn't really go anywhere.
Imagine you're playing with your toy cars on a big map. You build a bridge that goes over a river or a canyon. That's a good bridge because it helps your toy cars get across to the other side.
Now, imagine you build another bridge, but this time it just ends in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't help your toy cars get anywhere, it's just there all by itself.
This is what a bridge to nowhere is like in real life. Sometimes people build bridges that don't really serve a purpose. Maybe the bridge was planned a long time ago but the road it was supposed to connect to was never built. Or, maybe someone thought it would be a good idea to build a bridge in a certain spot, but then they realized that it wouldn't really help anyone get anywhere.
Either way, a bridge to nowhere is a bit like building a toy bridge that leads to a dead end. It's there, but it doesn't really do anything.
