Bronc riding

Hey kiddo, have you ever seen a cowboy riding a bucking horse in a rodeo? That's called bronc riding!

So, some horses are really wild and they try to shake off the people who ride them. That's where the fun for the cowboy comes in!

The cowboy gets on the horse, grabs onto a rope called a "bronc rein" that’s attached to the horse's halter, and then the horse is let out of the chute. The cowboy has to stay on the horse for eight seconds without touching the horse with his free hand.

If the cowboy manages to do it, he gets points from the judges. The rider is also scored on how well he controls the horse while it's bucking.

When the eight seconds are over, the cowboy usually jumps off the horse, and the horse goes back to the stable.

Bronc riding can be really exciting and it takes a lot of skill and training. Cowboys practice a lot to get good at it!
