Buddhist pilgrimage sites

A Buddhist pilgrimage site is a place considered important to the Buddhist religion. It may be a place where the Buddha (the founder of Buddhism) lived, or a place where a famous Buddhist teacher taught, or a place where an important event in the history of Buddhism happened. People go to these pilgrimage sites to show their respect for the Buddha and to learn more about Buddhism.
