Buffalo Soldier

Buffalo Soldiers were African-American soldiers who served in the United States Army. The term 'Buffalo Soldiers' started during the American Civil War when the soldiers wore buffalo fur hats to stay warm. The term is also used to honor and remember the brave Buffalo Soldiers who served in the United States Army and fought in wars, like the Indian Wars and the Spanish-American War. They were brave and strong soldiers, even though they faced a lot of discrimination because of the color of their skin. Buffalo Soldiers were very important for the United States and made many important achievements during their time in the Army.
