Bureau of Prohibition

Okay kiddo, so a long time ago, people used to drink a lot of alcohol in America. Some people thought it was bad because it made people do bad things and hurt themselves. So they made a law that said people couldn't sell or make alcohol anymore.

The Bureau of Prohibition was like a group of grown-ups who were in charge of making sure people followed this law. They had to go around and check on people to make sure they weren't making or selling alcohol.

But some people still really wanted to drink alcohol, so they would make it in secret and hide it so the Bureau of Prohibition couldn't find it. And sometimes, the people in charge of making sure the law was followed got a little too bossy and started doing things that weren't very nice.

In the end, the law was too hard to enforce and people realized it wasn't working very well. They decided to change it and let people drink alcohol again. The Bureau of Prohibition was shut down and doesn't exist anymore.
