Burrow

Burrows are like little tunnels that animals dig in the ground. Imagine you are playing in the sand at the beach and you start digging a deep hole. That's kind of like a burrow, but animals like rabbits, gophers, and moles dig them in the dirt so they have a safe place to hide from predators and keep their babies safe. They make them long and twisty so nobody can find them. Some animals even decorate their burrows with things like leaves and twigs to make their homes cozy!
