Maternity den

A maternity den is a safe and cozy place, kind of like a bedroom, where a mommy animal gives birth to and takes care of her babies. It's usually located in a quiet and hidden place, like a burrow, a hollow tree, or a cave. This den helps to protect the newborn animals from predators, harsh weather conditions, and other dangers. Inside the maternity den, the mommy animal creates a comfortable environment for her babies by using soft materials like leaves, grass, fur, or feathers. She feeds and cleans her babies and keeps them warm by snuggling close to them. As the babies grow and become stronger, they start exploring the world outside the den, but they always come back to their safe haven for warmth and protection.
