Okay kiddo, have you ever played hide and seek or tag outside in a really big park or backyard? Well, sometimes when we play those games, we want to make sure we stay in a certain area so we don't get lost or go too far away. That's where "butts" and "bounds" come in!
"Butts" are big landmarks like trees, buildings, or roads that help us know where we are. We can look for a certain butt like a big red barn and know that we are still in the area we want to be in.
"Bounds" are kind of like imaginary lines that we draw around the area we want to stay in. We might say, "Okay everyone, we can't go past the big oak tree or the creek over there. That's our bounds."
So when we play games outside and use butts and bounds, it helps us stay safe and stay together with our friends. Plus, it's fun to explore new areas while sticking to the boundaries we set for ourselves!
