CGHS model

Alright kiddo, have you ever been to the doctor with your mom or dad? Well, CGHS stands for Central Government Health Scheme. It's a special kind of health service that is only available to people who work for the Indian government, like your teacher or a police officer.

Now, the CGHS has a special way of providing medical services to its members, called the CGHS model. This means that when someone who is part of the CGHS needs to go to the doctor, they can either visit a government hospital or a private hospital that has been empanelled (or approved) by the CGHS.

The CGHS takes care of the costs of these medical services, which means that the person who is part of the CGHS will not have to pay any money to the doctor or the hospital. This is different from when you go to the doctor with your parents - they need to pay a certain amount of money, called a fee, to the doctor.

To make sure that people who are part of the CGHS get the best possible medical services, the CGHS has set up certain standards that these hospitals have to follow. These standards include things like having the right equipment and medicines, having trained staff, and keeping the hospital clean.

So, in summary, the CGHS model is a special way of providing medical services to people who work for the Indian government, where the government takes care of the costs and has set up certain standards for the hospitals to follow.
