ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

COLLADA

Collada is like a special language that computers use to talk to each other about 3D objects. You know how you can build things with blocks or Legos? Well, imagine building something on the computer and then using Collada to tell another computer all the details about what you've built.

Collada is kind of like a set of instructions that tells the other computer what colors to use, what the shape of the object is, and how the different parts fit together. This is helpful because different programs and computers might use slightly different ways of making 3D objects, but if they all use Collada, they can still talk to each other and share information.

So, if you make a cool 3D object on your computer and want to share it with someone else, you can use Collada to package up all the information about that object and send it to them. Then, they can open it up on their own computer and see exactly what you made.
