ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cacerolazo

A cacerolazo is kind of like a big musical protest. Imagine that you and all your friends want to show that you're not happy with something that is happening in your town or country. Instead of just shouting or holding up signs like at a normal protest, you grab some pots and pans from your kitchen and start banging them together.

Now imagine that lots of other people around your town or country are doing the same thing, all at the same time. It makes a really loud sound, and shows that everyone who is doing it is upset and wants things to change.

Sometimes people also yell or whistle or honk horns while they're cacerolazo-ing, to make even more noise. It's a way for people to come together and raise their voices, without having to use words.
