ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Call and response

Imagine you and your friend are playing a game where you take turns making sounds or saying words. Call and response is like playing that game with music or singing. When someone sings or plays an instrument and then someone else sings or plays a sound back, that's call and response. It's like having a conversation through music! One person "calls" by singing or playing something, and then the other person "responds" by singing or playing a different sound or melody. You might even hear call and response in things like church or school, where the leader says something and everyone else says it back. It's a way to communicate and make music together!
