Calvinism

Calvinism is a way of looking at God, life and faith. It was developed by the French theologian John Calvin in the 16th century. It is based on the idea that God has decided ahead of time who will go to Heaven and who will go to Hell, and that nothing anyone does can change that decision. It also says that God is all-powerful and loving, and humans are completely dependent on him. Calvinists believe that God understands and cares for everyone, so they should trust and obey him in all aspects of life.
