ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Huguenot

Huguenots were a group of people who lived in France during the 1500s and 1600s. They were a Protestant religion, which was different from the Catholic religion that was most common in France at the time. Because of this, the Huguenots were often discriminated against and many of them left France to find a place with more religious freedom. Today, people of Huguenot descent still live all around the world.
